pH: 6.8 to 7.8 dH: Medium to Hard

Temperament: Very friendly and non aggressive, but they may eat their own fry at times.

Adult Size: Up to 2 1/2 in (6 cm) Males are smaller.

Minimum Tank Size: 1 Gallon

Feeding: Easy to feed, accepts almost all aquarium foods, likes vegetable matter.

Breeding: Easy to breed live bearer

Comments: One of the most popular aquarium fish. A good beginners fish. Easy to keep and spawn. Guppies come in many varieties and grades of quality from feeder fish (10 for $1) to a pair show fish ($100 or more). A lot of Guppy illnesses can be cured with the addition of 2 teaspoons of salt per gallon of water. Guppies do best in a tank of their own.
